Our AI Policy & Creative Philosophy

1. How We Make the Magic (And Occasionally a Mess)

Adventures in Faith Forest is an original animated musical adventure series created through a combination of human imagination, storytelling, and generative artificial intelligence (AI).

We use AI tools to help develop scripts, create illustrations, animate scenes, generate character voices, produce sound effects, and bring original music to life.

But there’s a human behind the curtain making the creative decisions, directing the stories, writing lyrics, editing scenes, and occasionally asking, “Why on EARTH does that donkey have six legs?”

And the music? That’s been decades in the making!

Our creator has written more than 30 original songs over the past 30 years, many featuring lyrics written entirely by hand, heart, and human imagination.

Now, through AI-assisted music production and animation, those songs are finally getting their moment in the spotlight.

Turns out, sometimes a song just needs the right woodland creature to sing it!

2. Real People. Real Oversight. Really Weird Mistakes.

We believe AI is a creative tool, not a replacement for human imagination, judgment, or responsibility.

Every production is reviewed, directed, and edited by humans to the best of our ability before publication. We strive to create content that’s entertaining, appropriate for families, and consistent with our Christian values.

But let’s be clear: AI isn’t perfect. And neither are we.

Sometimes characters grow extra limbs. Sometimes gravity apparently takes the afternoon off. And sometimes the results are so spectacularly wrong that we can’t help but laugh.

That’s why we created Saturday Sillies with Faith Forest Flops!

Instead of pretending every scene came out perfectly, we’re sharing some of the hilarious mistakes along the way.

We believe transparency builds trust. And frankly, some of those bloopers are just too funny to keep to ourselves.

3. Our Creative Footprint Matters.

We love technology, but we also love the world God created. And we believe caring for both requires thoughtful choices.

Generative AI requires significant computing resources, including electricity and water. We recognize that these technologies have real environmental impacts, even when those impacts aren’t immediately visible.

We’re committed to approaching AI thoughtfully and responsibly by:

  • Creating with purpose. Using AI when it meaningfully contributes to our storytelling, rather than generating content simply because we can.
  • Reducing unnecessary waste. Reusing illustrations, characters, backgrounds, and other creative assets whenever practical.
  • Respecting other creators. Taking intellectual property, originality, licensing, and responsible creative practices seriously.
  • Continuing to learn. Staying informed about environmental concerns, emerging technologies, and opportunities to improve our production practices.

We’re not claiming to have all the answers. We’re certainly not claiming our productions leave zero environmental footprint.

We’re simply committed to making thoughtful choices, being honest about the tools we use, and improving wherever we can.

After all, it’s difficult to create adventures in a beautiful forest without caring about the real ones.

4. No Smoke. No Mirrors. Just a Little Technological Magic.

We don’t hide the fact that AI helps create our content. We celebrate what human imagination and emerging technologies can accomplish together.

That doesn’t mean we believe everything AI creates is wonderful, accurate, ethical, or even remotely anatomically possible.

We take responsibility for the creative decisions we make, recognize the limitations of these tools, and believe honest conversations about AI are important.

Our goal isn’t to replace human creativity.

It’s to give imagination a bigger stage.

And if we can create memorable stories, bring decades of original songwriting to life, share meaningful biblical lessons, and make a few families laugh along the way?

Well, we’d call that a pretty wonderful adventure.
